5/15/08 Great ‘Austin Bridal Secrets’ interview with lots of Angelic Strings bio information.  Listen to the interview at the site.

After his Bachelors in Physics from Rice University in 1990, Michael received his Ph.D. in Physics from Oklahoma State University in 1995. After additional academic research (M.S.E. from UT Austin), he worked at Motorola for 2 and half years. Leaving the electronics workforce to become a full-time musician, he has performed throughout Central Texas at weddings, benefits, children's musicals, church services, retirement homes, schools, hospitals, hospices  and wherever the Spirit moves him to be of service. He is a multi-instrumentalist, a composer, a sound engineer, a vocalist, loves learning new instruments and new languages.
Michael has played harp for ~15 years, and has previously played guitar, french horn, mandolin, piano and tenor recorder.  Many of his current instruments are listed here.  He loves to be of service through music, and will perform as Angelic Strings with Belinda at more than 70 weddings again in 2009.
Currently his hobbies include writing music with Sibelius 4, and learning another instrument.  Also maintenance of this website.

Belinda has a passion for living joyously, enjoying every moment, and sharing this enthusiasm for life.
Belinda loves the art of music and has been studying viola for over 10 years in her adult life.  In 1997, at the time her son began preschool, she decided to pick up her viola and reconnect with her inner artist.  Belinda has enjoyed working on classical repertoires in string quartets and ensembles, and has had many years of coaching and classes on viola technique and performance.  When Michael and Belinda met at her church, they began exploring music together.  Michael would compose and transpose music for the viola clef.  After they married in 2003, Michael gave them the duet name ‘Angelic Strings’ and they have been blessed in finding ways of being of service together through their music.
Belinda has experienced how music can affect lives in profound ways and considers it an honor to be included in the sacredness of a wedding ceremony by providing beautiful music with her husband.  Other interests include volunteer work for various homeless and food shelters, walking, hiking, Salsa dancing, cooking for her family, dinner parties, traveling with friends, snorkeling, learning new music, studying World Scripture and growing spiritually.
Belinda aspires to share the bliss of their musical marriage, and creating harmony and joy in the lives they touch. Thus their motto, "Hearts to Service".
